Nils and Chris were honing their studio musician/producer/welcomer into the magic of record-making in San Antonio skills and invited me to bring a couple songs into their idyllic dark spot on scorched Texas Earth with roots in weirdness and incredible resources abundantly kitted out. Justin Morris was confident and visionary in recording and mixing and producing and the experience felt abundant and nourishing, just as these overvulnerable songs aim to be. Stretch it out with me, there's nothing too dangerous whereupon your night shaded eyes may gaze. I was my best self after a recharge weekend with old friends swimming - and being swum by - a warm river. Looseness is time.
